Dearborn Market is proud to have one of the most educated and talented Garden Center Staffs in Monmouth County. Most of our presenters have over 20 year’s experience, several are Monmouth County Master Gardeners and some have even had their work featured in publications such as NJ Design Magazine. We are happy to provide horticultural based seminars on most any topic for your Garden Club. Seminars take place in our 11,000 sq. foot greenhouse and are available during most of the year, except during peak retail periods which are from April 15 through the first week of June, the month of October and the month of December. We are open to your suggestions for topics however some past topics given to Garden Clubs have included:

• Seashore Containers – Plants that grow best by the Sea
• Creating the Perfect Terrarium
• From Window Sill to Window Box
• Cactus and Succulents
• Everything about Orchids
• Shade Gardening

Past Garden Clubs that have enjoyed presentations at Dearborn Market include: The Spring Lake Garden Club, The Fair Haven Garden Club, The Allenhurst Garden Club, The Avon By the Sea Garden Club, The Oceanport Garden Club and The Navesink Garden Club.

Presentations may be given Monday through Friday, last approximately one hour and we can accommodate groups up to 50 people. (We do need to charge an additional fee for groups over 50 people.)You may also hold your own Garden Center meeting before or after the presentation. Attendees may also participate in the seminar with a take home piece, however we do charge a materials fee based upon the complexity of the presentation. We do ask for a minimum of 10 attendees. Padded folding chairs, a demonstration table and audio system are provided as part of your presentation. Depending upon the time of year, a tour of our growing houses may also be included for your interest as part of your visit to Dearborn.

We do offer catering services as part of your meeting package. The following options are available:

Continental Breakfast:

$6.00 per person
Regular Coffee, Decalf Coffee, Tea, Juice, Fresh Fruit Salad and assorted Danish, Muffins, Bagels and Pastries, Butter and Jams and Paper Goods.

A Complete Buffet Style lunch:

$15.00 per person
Finger Sandwiches or Wraps, Two Salads, Beverages, Dessert (which includes mini cakes and pastries and a fresh fruit salad) and Coffee, Utensils and Paper Goods.

Coffee and Dessert:

$5.00 per person
Regular Coffee, Decaf Coffee, Tea, Assorted Cookies and Mini Desserts, Utensils and Paper Goods.

A deposit of 50% is required to reserve your date and may be placed on your credit card or by personal check. The remaining balance is due at the end of the presentation.
